the propaganda’s working now

i’m falling for it hook and reel

ok. so now i agree with paul constant.

he wrote a blog post about why Salinger’s covers remain the same and don’t get new art. thanks paul.

then, at work, they asked me if i knew the stories of “miss happiness and miss flower”. presumably because i read a lot not because they are about DOLLS (who are sometimes even SAD).

a woman from her work had given her two old books, each had been discharged from the collection of a different library. one had this cover:

little-plum

the other had been bound in an orange cover by the library. popular!

the books are by Rumer Godden. about two japanese dolls and their adventures.

so when i was looking the books up online they have been reprinted a few times with different cover art. enter paul’s blog post. only the cover above would make me want to read this. the newer covers made me loose interest. that is sad for the dolls.
