well well well

soooooo. i found The Google Story by David Vise and Mark Malseed  (Delacorte Press 2005) at a second-hand book store so i got it and read it. it was not well-written. but i did learn some things. one of the things i was most interested in learning about was their project to scan books to make them available and fully searchable online. that is good, right? we would all benefit from that, right?

well here is a dark and scary side to that project:
